It's a dilemma: Just Where in the World are all the Creatives?

The UK is finding evidence of a rural boom driven by new creative businesses settling in. The New York Times economist  article  talks about the creative class flocking to the inner-city. Bottom line: Does it really matter where? Probably not. Just strongly invest economic development dollars to build the attractive hot spots for young, creative thinkers and do-ers and the competitive regions and countries will flourish. It's simple.

British Rural Boom Driven By Creative Migration

A study of 200 businesses in the UK suggests that the creative class are leaving towns with little character and relocating to more rural locations thanks partly to the rise of digital communications...

The report was published by Cornwall College with research lead by Morel Researcher, Matthew Owen, who says that rural towns are becoming creative hubs with "..young people moving out of cities."
